WOUNDED WARRIORS' APPRECIATION DAY at LAKE HOLIDAY COUNTRY CLUB - AUG 15TH 2009 Participation organized and sanctioned by DAV Chapter #9, Winchester, VA., and hosted by LHCC Activities Committee. A Special Note of Thanks to all Lake Holiday Community Residents and Volunteers Who made the Wounded Warriors' Appreciation Day an Event That Will Forever Be Remembered By Those Veterans and Their Families Who Attended. A Special Note of Gratitude to: Jim and Carol Mitchell, Who without their Community organizing efforts and skills, for this Event, It would not have materialized. Immense Thanks to the Lake Committee, under the Guidance of Judy Platt, and to Garret Whiteside For making sure the Boats were inspected and Safe, to insure this well thought-out and planned Event was an Absolute Success. A THANK YOU To: Mr. Richard Hawkins, President, of Rolling Thunder, Chapter #1, and all dedicated members, in Rolling Thunder, Winchester Virginia, for their " ALWAYS OUTSTANDING " Support, Commitment to Cause, and Generous Contributions. Mr. Mike Sweeney, for Transport Co-ordination, and to Mr. Dennis Ward, our Commissioned Photographer. His 700 plus pictures will be posted here on this site as soon as we receive clearance from all five [5] VA hospitals. This Event, indeed, was a showing of true Community Unity, Spirit and Patriotism. We, of the DAV Chapter # 9, Thank each and every one of you. Please take your time in reading the PRRP Program Director’s letter of thanks, and, more importantly, These heart-sent letters of Gratitude from the PRRP patients from within the Martinsburg VAMC.
