| On October 16th & 17th, 2009, DAV #9 Sanctioned a Special Crossbow Outing, for six ( 6 ) Disabled American Veterans , who all enjoyed a fantastic weekend in Star Tannery, Va., at the NORVA Hunt & Gun Club learning and fulfilling crossbow hunting lessons being taught by Special regulation Teachers who showed them how to crossbow hunt for deer. The connection and comraderie between everybody created a fulfilling weekend of music, fun and possibly "bagging"/bringing home a deer. The experience was wholesome and whole-hearty. We are looking forward to many more Events of this caliber for the upcoming year 2010, and possibly even more, thereafter. |
